Children’s Respite House
In the heart of Lisnagry, Limerick, the need for a new children’s respite home presents a pressing issue that demands our attention. San Joseph Respite (the existing facility), while a beacon of hope for many, is constrained by its physical limitations and the complex needs of the children it serves.
Project Eden
The Avista Foundation funded the construction of a Sensory Garden which allows these children with disabilities combined with medical conditions and other complex needs, to engage their senses in a wonderful outdoor environment.
St Joseph’s Centre, Clonsilla
In 2011, the Sonas project was launched. Avista Foundation was determined to help the Daughters of Charity Service move residents from the old model of institutional care to a more integrated type village setting with no high walls and no closed gates.
DOCTRID Research
In 2010 Avista Foundation and the Daughters of Charity Service established the Daughters of Charity Technology, Research into Disability known as DOCTRID Research Institute.
St Louise’s Glenmaroon
St Louise’s Centre, Glenmaroon comprises nine specially designed bungalows providing 54 private bedrooms, and a Day Services Hub and Restaurant.
Cabra Road Rebuild
In 2022, Avista Foundation successfully fundraised the cost of extending and refurbishing a long established Community Residential Home on the Cabra Road in Dublin.
Bethel House
Bethel House is a unique 12 bed residential resource, which provides palliative and convalescent care to individuals with a disability by specialised staff.
The Cara project
Thank you to all our donors and supporters who have assisted us with the refurbishment of three bungalows at St Joseph’s Centre, Clonsilla.
IT Hub
