About Avista Foundation
Avista Foundation is an Irish registered charity and the dedicated fundraising arm of Avista, an organisation that has been supporting people with intellectual and physical disabilities since 1892. Formerly known as Respect, we exist to fund and deliver projects that go beyond what core funding allows, helping the people Avista supports to live their best lives as active citizens in an inclusive society.
Our Mission
To fund innovative, life-changing projects that help the people Avista supports to live their best lives as active citizens in an inclusive society; uniting the generosity of individuals, communities, and corporate partners to make it possible.
Who We Support
Avista currently supports more than 3,000 children and adults with disabilities across Dublin, Limerick, North Tipperary, and Offaly. As a section 38 organisation, Avista receives core HSE funding, but significant opportunities exist to do more. Avista Foundation addresses that gap.
How We Work
Avista Foundation raises funds through events, corporate partnerships, charity shops, and individual donations. When a need is identified within the Avista service, whether that's a new facility, vital equipment, or an innovative programme, we step in to fund it. We work alongside government capital assistance grants and private donations to make projects happen that might otherwise never get off the ground. Explore Our Projects →
