The members of the Avista Foundation Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring the organisation meets high standards of governance, transparency, and accountability in its work to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
The Board meets regularly and is composed of volunteers who receive no remuneration. Members are selected with a view to achieving a balance of skills, experience, and knowledge. The Board is committed to upholding the Principles of Corporate Governance outlined in the Governance Code. They ensure that the organisation complies with the requirements of the Charities Regulatory Authority and other relevant legislation. The board oversees the strategic direction and governance of the Avista Foundation to ensure it meets its objectives of improving the lives of people with disabilities.

We are committed to being open about how we operate, how funds are raised, and how resources are allocated. Our annual reports and financial statements are made available to the public.
Our Board of Directors holds the organisation accountable for its actions and decisions, ensuring that all activities align with our charitable objectives and legal requirements.
We comply fully with the requirements of the Charities Regulatory Authority, the Governance Code for Community, Voluntary, and Charitable Organisations, and all other relevant legislation.
Our Board members serve on a voluntary basis, bringing a diverse range of skills, experience, and knowledge to guide the strategic direction of the Foundation.
The Avista Foundation is committed to the Triple Lock Standards of good practice for the charity sector, which encompasses transparent reporting, good fundraising, and good governance.
