How You Can Help

The Avista Foundation thrives thanks to the generosity of families, friends, volunteers, communities, and corporate partners. Every contribution—big or small—helps us deliver life-changing support to the people who rely on Avista's services.

How You Can Get Involved

Avista Foundation generates funds through a diverse range of fundraising activities, from our charity shops and community events to vital partnerships with corporations, families, and public supporters. Where possible, we try to ensure that all funds are matched by company or government.

Events

We host a variety of sporting and social events throughout the year. Whether you want to enter a team, book a table, or take part in something new, our events offer great opportunities to connect and support our work. If you'd like to organise your own event or fundraiser, Jesse can guide you through the process.

Host Your Own Fundraiser

From coffee mornings and sponsored walks to school activities and workplace challenges, creating your own fundraiser is a powerful way to support the Avista Foundation. We can provide guidance, materials, and ideas to help you get started.

Red Box Campaigns

Our Red Boxes can be found in homes, schools, pubs, and businesses across the community. They offer a simple, everyday way for people to donate and stay connected to our mission.

Donate an Auction Item

We regularly host online auctions to raise funds for vital projects. Donated items—large or small—are auctioned to the highest bidder, with all proceeds supporting our work.

Donate Online

Every donation makes a difference. You can make a secure contribution online using credit card, Stripe, phone, or through mycharity.ie.

Shop Vintage & Volunteer Local

Our charity shops in Prussia Street and Blanchardstown provide essential funding while offering quality preloved goods. You can support by donating items, shopping sustainably, or volunteering your time in-store.

Tax-Efficient Giving

Your donation may go 44.9% further at no additional cost to you. If you've donated €250 or more in a calendar year within the last four years, completing a CHY3 form allows us to claim an additional tax benefit from Revenue.

Legacy Giving

Leaving a gift in your will is a meaningful way to create a lasting impact. Legacy support has enabled some of our most transformative work, ensuring that future generations continue to benefit from Avista's services.

Corporate Support

Companies can get involved through fundraising initiatives, volunteering, payroll giving, or matched donation programmes. We work closely with organisations to build partnerships that make a real, positive difference.

Tax Back Relief

If you pay tax and donate €250 or more to Avista Foundation, an Irish registered charity,, we can claim 45% in tax relief from Revenue at no extra cost to you.

This could be in the form of one large single gift or regular giving of €21 a month.

To enable us to claim this relief, all you need do is complete a CHY 3 tax back form, also known as The Good Form, that covers any year in which you donate €250+.

Whether you are PAYE or Self-Assessed, Avista Foundation can claim tax relief on your donation.

By signing The Good Form Enduring Certificate, we can then claim tax relief on your donations (totaling €250 or more in any year) for a 5-year period (if tax has been paid).

For example, your donation of €250 would increase to €362, €500 to €724 and €1,000 up to €1,449. Note that there is no limit to the number of eligible charities who can claim tax relief on your donations (provided you pay at least the total amount in tax) – so, if you have given over €250 to other charities, please complete each CHY Form you receive from them too.
